needless to say, shirley knows very well she's not in kansas (er, north carolina) anymore. no more palm trees, no more beach sand, no more salty ocean water, and DEFINITELY no more sandals and shorts weather...for now. it seems she has acclimated better than expected and actually likes snow just as much as sand! we do catch her shivering from time to time (liss is sewing her a fleece doggie pullover, hopefully she can sport it by christmas) with her lack of a thick fur coat like her st. bernard buddies oscar and heidi. though not intended for glacial temps, the great dane in shirley apparently has taken a liking to snow frolicking. take a looksy for yourself:
