ho ho ho!

this past weekend our friends liz and nelson threw a christmas in july party to celebrate christmas since it won't always be possible for us folks to celebrate with loved ones or friends during the actual holiday. it was complete with a christmas tree, lights, holiday paraphernalia, holiday-themed cocktails, christmas cookies and yes, presents! alissa made caramel corn to bring, adding to the assortment of goodies that ranged from pigs in a blanket to a gingerbread family. towards the end of the night the yankee swap commenced (as known in the south, otherwise called a white elephant gift exchange) and we actually ended up with a neat present!
